Consent is not a condition of joining. Your number is never sold or shared; only the host sees it, never the room.

Notes for review: this program sends exactly ONE kind of message — a secure link to the recap page of a tasting the member personally attended. Nothing else is sent to members. The consent checkbox is unchecked by default and dedicated to that single purpose, and names the sender, the message type, the frequency, the cost disclosure, and STOP/HELP; providing a phone number is optional and not a condition of joining; age is verified by date-of-birth entry, not a yes/no question; a number entered without the checked consent box and a qualifying date of birth is discarded. The Terms and Privacy Policy are linked on the form itself. On opt-in, the member immediately receives this confirmation message: “Pour Decisions (The Pour Society): You are now opted in to tasting recap links. One message per tasting you attend, typically 1–4/month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”
